S. Y. Farmer is an author and illustrator by night but often finds herself in battles with insurance companies on behalf of disabled children by day. Her work has been featured in online publication Her View From Home as well as That’s Inappropriate since 2018. A Walk with the Moon was her first published children’s book, and Those That Burned is her debut full-length novel. 

As a mother of four, when she’s not writing, she can be found pushing a stroller around her local baseball field or playing MarioKart. She is always Princess Peach, much to her children's delight. Wherever she is, you’ll see her scrawling lines for her next book or poetic work in the notes app of her phone like a madwoman.
